Truth Hurts
The final report from the National Inquiry into self-harm among young people, setting out a range of recommendations for changes in policy and practice in relation to the 1 in 15 young people in the UK who have experience of self-harm.

The National Inquiry ran from March 2004 to March 2006 and was a partnership between the Camelot Foundation and the Mental Health Foundation.

Youth 2009: Scanning Horizons in Youth Policy
In the summer of 2005, a rich mix of policy makers, youth organisations, academics, funders and young people came together at the first Youth 2009 event, hosted by the Foundation.

This report includes the presentations made at the event by three key social commentators whose brief was to raise the audience’s eyes to new challenges and opportunities coming into focus on the youth policy horizon. Gavin Esler, who chaired the debate, introduces the report.

Young People: Their Lives Today and Hopes for Tomorrow
In 2005, the Camelot Foundation commissioned a nationwide on-line consultation with young people, via Youthnet, the country’s leading on-line resource for young people. This report provides a powerful insight into the dreams, feelings and concerns of young people in the UK today.
